Breedings can be discussed.

History: Found on an Island in the Bremuda Triangle in the early 1900's, explorers were captivated by the creature's size, prehistoric look and perosnalities. A couple breeding pairs were gathered up and taken to europe where they were sold as pets to the high class.

During the wars, the breed declined almost to extinction due to being used as mounts during battle.

In the late 1980's, the breed was beginning to grab interest again, and since then, the breed has slowly made a comeback.

Size: 14hh to 19hh at their shoulders. Their neck length can add another couple HH.

Life Span: Can live up to 40 years, possibly more.

Disposition: Typically very loyal and loving to their "Pack" or herd and their handlers. Can be similar to dogs in the sense that they can be protective of their territory when it comes to new people or animals.

Colors: Come in any natural horse color and marks. Most common colors are Bays, Blacks, Dark Browns, Duns and Buckskins. Common marks are paint and simple blazes. Other colors and marks are seen.

Eyes: Large, circular eyes that are commonly bright in color. Slitted pupils are a must for the breed.

Manes: Manes are also a must for this breed. Manes run from just between the eyes, down to their withers. Manes can be short or long, and can also be Straight, Wavy or full out curly.

Tails: Have long "raptor" tails with "flag" of fur on the underside and sometimes a tuft on the end. This fur is same as mane. Fully furred tails are not acceptable.

Feet: Front feet are not used for walking, but more like hands and have short but strong claws on each of the three fingers. Hind feet have three normal toes, and a fourth claw called the "killing claw" on the inside of the foot.

Mouth: Mouth is filled with sharp, shark like teeth with canine-like molars in the back of the jaws.

Ears: Ears are slits on each side of the head, just behind the eyes.

Feeding: Eats strictly pre-killed things. Will not hunt or kill it's own food.

Keeping: Must have mane and tail brushed daily. Bathed weekly at least. Can be kept in normal pasture or stall. Can be kept with horses of any breed and gender. Cannot put two stallion Raptors together. Don't put a Mare and Stallion together unless breeding is wanted.

Breeding: Can only be bred with Raptor species.
Mares lay egg 3 months after breeding
One to two eggs at a time
Eggs hatch after six months
Foal must stay with mother for four months.

Foals: Foals eat regurgitated meat from mother for 4 months.

Maturity: Mares are mature at 4 years old, Stallions at three years.

Uses: Can be used for really anything that a normal horse is used for, depending on their size.
Racing, dressage, barrel racing and herding are their common uses, though jumping is not unheard of.
Depending on the size of the raptor, cart pulling is acceptable.
